Description
Hi! I’m Miguel Fernandes, aka Ozzy. I was born in Castelo Branco in the ’90s. Somewhere between drawing, illustration, and ceramics, I create characters and stories that don’t always know where they’re going.
I hold a degree in Fine Arts and a master’s degree in Illustration and Animation. I founded Ateliê Cobalto in Braga and published Amável, O Pugilista Gentil with Iguana, Penguin Random House.
I’m also involved in music — album covers, posters, and other sound/visual adventures. I like humour, storytelling, and, above all, bringing my dreams to life through a pen.
WAKADELICS
About the Band
Wakadelics is a band from Castelo Branco, Portugal whose sound transcends genres, constantly shifting and evolving into what feels like a musical odyssey.
My relationship with them goes far beyond performance. At its core, it is a ritual of friendship and an exploration of where music and drawing meet — giving sight to an art that is blind, and sound to an art that is deaf.
My role is to give a face to their ever-changing soundscape. I don’t seek to translate their music, but to interpret it — turning sound into images, feelings, and visual narratives.
Over the years, we have developed a shared visual language through album artwork, tour posters, and live painting performances. Not a translation of sound into image, but another way of listening.
